This website is designed by teamLorraine, friends of Lorraine who want to bring her hope through advanced therapies and give her companion care when they cannot be at her side.

On Memorial Day of 2005, Lorraine had a tragic bicycling accident in which she severely injured her spinal cord, resulting in paralysis below her neck. As you can imagine, this has been devastating, not only to Lorraine, but to her family, friends and neighbors, and has sent shock waves throughout her cycling community.

Lorraine is a retired English Literature teacher who cherishes the joy of reading a good book. She is a long standing and active member of her cycling club and accomplished cyclist, she loves classical music, running, x-country skiing, and volunteering as a firefighter!

She is an amazingly unassuming and compassionate friend whose simplicity and joy for life is unparalleled. She is one of life’s givers, and now she needs to receive.

Lorraine is not giving up - she is fighting! And teamLorraine wants to support her efforts. We want to bring her the daily care and rehabilitation that goes beyond her insurance provider’s standards. We want to bring her hope through advanced therapies and give her companion care when we cannot be at her side.
